Read the Guidelines

Artists are invited to interpret this theme in any way, using the medium of their choice. Pieces may not exceed 6 feet in height, width, or depth. The artwork must be ready to hang. Freestanding work is also allowed. Participants must be 16 years or older.

 

Entries will be judged by a panel of 3 judges. The jurors will decide the composition of the show and award a first prize ($100), second prize ($50), and third prize ($25).

The public will vote for the Viewer’s Choice prize of $25.

 

Accepted work must be delivered to 2Create Gallery (438 Main Street, Ramona) on July 1 or 2. The exhibition opening will be July 7 and run through July 30. All work must be picked up on July 30 or 31.

Fill the entry form and send your images

Artists may enter by filling out the form found here and submitting a digital image of their work to theartcenterramona@gmail.com by June 23, 2023.

The Theme, Originality, and Artistic quality will be the main factors, but not the sole criteria, used to select the final works for the exhibition.

Judges

Susan Bainbridge explores the fascination we humans have with the natural world and our attempts to maintain a connection to it through the animals we bring into our lives to share our experience with us.

Pat Kelly is a California native. Pat and her husband live near the farm that his family homesteaded in 1908. Passionate about still life painting, Pat finds her inspiration close by.

 

Don Weeke has been making baskets and gourds for more than 35 years. He teaches and exhibits nationally.
