Jewelry making with glass and wire opens a world of creative possibilities. After two decades of exploring techniques, I am excited to share my favorite discoveries with fellow glass and jewelry enthusiasts through these hands-on workshops!

Beginners welcome; all materials provided. We start with forming a silver bail to be embedded between the layers of glass, choose glass colors you like, and work in some wire or other extras. Top with clear glass, and it's ready to fire. Advance to etching dichroic glass and painting on glass with liquid glass. ​

In this class, you will create your own journal and learn calming art techniques to soothe your creative soul.  We will create a journal, then fill it with stress-reducing art. You will learn a bookbinding technique for your journal.  Then we will practice different art styles and techniques each week that you can carry into your routine journaling after class.  Each lesson will help you understand your own creative process.  Art Styles will include neurographic drawing, mandalas, and just doodling.  It’s all good!​

Come explore the concept of a personal ally through art that heals and opens you to new levels of creativity, inner peace, and personal power! Nancy will begin the class with a guided meditation to open, relax, and uplift your creativity as we explore the theme of Ally and the support they bring into our lives. Feel free to bring any pictures of persons or animal friends who are important and special allies in your life. All materials will be provided. You will create a unique keepsake that reflects you! We will have Fun and connect in a supportive, creative space that inspires you.

An introduction to art making with color pencils open to students of all experience levels. Sessions will include:

• Introduction of color pencil techniques appropriate to the skill level of the student

• Basic color theory and composition strategies

• Developing skills for Observational. Memory. and Imaginative Drawing

When students are able to demonstrate basic competence with color pencil techniques, they will be guided to develop and enjoy a personal response to themes presented to the class. Practice outside of class time will be needed for maximum success.  Students will have access to supplies at the first class but must purchase supplies for their own use at all the following classes. Sketchbook (9 x12 in), drawing pencils (HB and 6B) and a set of 12 Crayola color pencils will be available for purchase at a cost of $15. at the first-class session.

This class welcomes anyone curious about giving old books a second life as vibrant works of art. Together, we will dive into painting, collage, drawing, cutting, and reinventing books to uncover surprising new creations.

There is something magical about creating together. That is why I am offering this class again, inviting past participants to continue their journeys and welcoming newcomers ready to discover the art of altered books.​

An opportunity for teens with a strong interest and desire in developing a high level of drawing skill with an emphasis on drawing from direct observation. Work will be in black and white with pencil and pen/ink.  Work will include practice exercises and formal, finished artworks. Sketchbook (9 x12 in.) drawing pencils HB, 2H 6B, and black pen available at the first-class session for $15. Additional supplies may be required by students for the balance of the sessions.

Sessions will include:

• Drawing still-life and figure as the subject, compositional strategist

• Rendering values and textures

• Using realistic and abstract stylistic approaches

• Discussion of student work and growth

For months with five Wednesdays there will be a special workshop open to all students ages 11 to 17 yrs.   An adventure in creative thinking and artmaking! Experimentation with media and ideas. All media and materials provided.
